Taxation Department

Branches

The department has three branches:

1. Normal Branch - Heads the overall administration of the department.
2. Trade & Licensing Branch.
3. Goods & Services, Motor Vehicle Tax, and Profession Registration Branch:
• Each branch is headed by a Superintendent, with the Normal Branch Superintendent overseeing the department as a whole.

Functions

The department is headed by:

1. Collection of Professional Tax, Cattle Tax, and Residential Toll.
2. Issuance of licenses and certificates for various trades and businesses.
3. Collection of Motor Vehicle Tax, of which the department receives 100% share from the State Government.
